‘Summer on Broadway’ is our intensive week long summer project in Carrickfergus this July 2019. In just one week each child will learn a two act Musical Theatre show using material straight from the Broadway stage. Our professional team is very passionate and have been working hard to create a fantastic performing arts experience for the young people of our local community. Uplift’s aim is to boost children and young people’s self confidence and self esteem through the arts whilst also providing them with quality theatre training to improve their skills; enhancing them as people, as well as performers. What’s included?
- 20 hours of quality training in musical theatre by our professional staff
- The opportunity to take part in a 2 act show, with lights, costumes, microphones and staging
- Dance classes – learning: a variety of dance styles including jazz, modern, tap, and more, spatial awareness, teamwork and musicality.
- Voice classes – learning: how to warm up your voice correctly, correct singing posture and technique, choral and ensemble singing. Each child, should they want to, will have the opportunity to sing a solo in the show.
- Drama classes – learning: characterisation, improvisation, improving confidence

How to sign up?
We are taking bookings by email, so if you wish to sign up please send us the child’s name, age, date of birth and a contact number for yourself to: info@weareuplift.com. A £20 non-refundable deposit per student is required to confirm your place in the workshop. The full amount is not due until 1st July 2019. Please note this deposit can be paid at our branches.
